Happy Holidays

Hey there tattoo fans, the Neon Crab wishes to extend to you and yours, the very warmest wishes for a happy holiday.

Unfortunately, this Christmas brings with it further Covid-19 restrictions.  We know that your Facebook, twitter and Instagram feeds have been filled with coronavirus panic for weeks, and we certainly do not wish to add to the panic in any way. However we know that with growing case numbers and outbreaks in our communities comes anxiety and high tension in these uncertain times..

So we wish to thank our clients for your patience and support, as we navigate through this ever changing landscape.. And we want to let you know that the Neon Crab is working to  ensure our approach to the outbreak of Covid-19 – and its resulting repercussions on our  clients, our team members and our local community – is handled with care and  consideration.

Based on the guidance of the provincial and federal governments, along with the Chief Medical Officer of Canada, the Neon Crab is temporarily closed until further notice as per the provincial order issued this morning by Premiere Doug Ford.

Again we wish to thank you for your patience during this trying time, and know that we are still here for you.  Feel free to email, or message us, and we will do our best to answer all of your questions.

Stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime be healthy, be safe, and be kind to one another.  We will get through this together.

GAME DRIVE!

Well Christmas is right around the corner……that time of year when we all care a little more, smile a little more, and give a little more.  Especially to families in need.  Now of course, food, shelter and clothing are what we think of first when it comes to helping those less fortunate.  And around this time of year, we even consider toys for the little ones.  However there is a need that is often overlooked.  The tweens and older kids of families in need.  And so we at the Neon Crab have teamed up with Sarnia’s Women’s Interval Home make sure these kids in our community don’t go forgotten about.  For the month of December we are asking for help, by hosting a ‘Game Drive’.   Games aimed at older kids are a great way to help them feel included.  That new Nintendo Switch game helps kids feel included with their peers.  A new set of Pokemon cards to round out their deck is something special to open at Christmas, and even board games will encourage family time, and strengthen bonds for families at this time of year.

So for the moth of December, any client who brings in a new game of any kind in, we will reward them with $20 off their tattoo or piercing.  (and yes this can be combined with other offers) If you are not looking to get a new tattoo, but you just want to help……….. by all means, drop off that new game to Neon Crab Tattoos at 452 Exmouth St. And we will make sure that with the help of the Women’s Interval Home, that no one gets left in the cold this Christmas!

Ink Buffet 2020

Ok I know what you are thinking…..Ink Buffet season is here!!!!!  And we couldn’t be more excited.  That is until Covid decided to drop in and ruin our whole year.    Now it’s true, there are a whole host of new regulations and protocols that we have in place to fight the spread of the virus and keep us all safe.  And we must adhere to the guidelines and emergency orders put in place by the provincial government and the municipal Health Unit.  So sadly many of the community fundraisers and anniversary events that we host had to be cancelled.  We cannot encourage gathering, and we are no longer permitted to accept deposits.  But the last thing we wanted to do was cancel our annual Ink Buffet event.  We know that our clients love it, and many of you look forward to this event every year.  And we very much enjoy doing something to give back to our clients during the holiday season.  So we all put our heads together, and we think we have found a way to still hold the Ink Buffet event safely, although it will be in a slightly different format in order to adhere to all of the new measures and guidelines that are now in place.  So here is what is the same……….

You will still be able to book an entire 8 hour day with the artist of your choice to get as much ink done as you can take.  And yes, you can still split that day between friends if you choose.

What will be changing………

If you are splitting up your day between a couple of people, that’s fine, but unfortunately only one client will be permitted in with the artist at a time.  No friends or family are allowed to be sharing the same space while you are getting tattooed.  So we’ll have to call or text the next one in your group when it’s their time to swap spaces with you.  We will not be allowed to collect payment in advance in order to secure your day as we have in the past.  So instead what we will be doing, is allowing anyone to book a full day at our regular year-round price of $800.  But if you book your day in December, when you do come in for your day to get tattooed, we will give you $200 in gift certificates back on the spot, that you can use for your self for a future appointment, or gift to someone else for Christmas.

We know it’s not quite the same Ink Buffet you all remember, but it does seem to check off all of the safety boxes, and we still get to offer a SUPER great deal to our clients for Christmas so that they can get some really amazing work done.  Assuming you have the pain tolerance to sit through a whole day of tattooing!!  😊

So hurry, these days are limited in quantity and book up quickly as each artist only has a select amount of days available for buffets (and we have Christmas holidays during December as well). So save your nickels, and pop in after November 1st to book yourself an ink buffet!

Booking begins NOVEMBER 1st!

For more details, shoot us a message or give us a call!

We're Open

It’s all true!! The news that you have been hearing floating around the interwebs is bang on. As of Friday June 19th, Sarnia has been given to green light to reopen the studio as part of the Stage 2 framework for reopening the province. So if you have been itching for some new ink, we can start accommodating you.
Now with the exciting news of reopening also comes a slew of new changes, guidelines and procedures that will become ‘the new normal’ as per the direction of the ministry of health in Ontario.
Please read for full details……………………………………
How are we keeping you and our staff safe?
For those of you who have had the pleasure of attending our studio in the past, you know that we are already employing protocols and procedures in accordance with the local health unit. Such as…
Contact Tracing
Individual, enclosed tattoo studios per artist
Regular Use of PPE
Thorough sanitizing of all surfaces between clients
100% disposable tattoo equipment
Independent biological monitoring of sterilization equipment
Training and certification of our artists through the Health Unit
But given the tremendous efforts made by the province and country as a whole to reduce and contain the spread of covid-19, there will be some additional changes implemented for the foreseeable future. Such as……
We will be working by appointment only. Not to say that we are unable to handle same day requests, but our studio shall remain closed to walk in traffic. So please give us a call, or shoot us a message, and we will take care of you as soon as possible
Our waiting area inside the studio will also be closed off. The procedure we must follow going forward, shall be that when you arrive for your appointment, give the shop a call, and your artist will come out to greet you once their area has been properly disinfected, and escort you directly to their personal studio space
Clients are required to mask up while they are inside the shop. So please bring a face mask. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, we will happily provide you one.
In order to reduce gathering, this also means... If you are not getting tattooed... You should not come in. So we cannot allow you to bring your friend’s parent’s neighbor’s former roommate with you to the appointment... We need the space to abide by proper physical distancing requirements. If you have any concerns about being able to come alone message us and we will get you some answers.
There is no need to leave any deposits during this time, as we want to strongly encourage any client to feel free to cancel their appointment should they feel unwell in any way. We do not want anyone to ignore possible symptoms and show up to their appointment for fear of losing a deposit.
And it should go without saying…...If you have travelled outside the country, been in contact with anyone who has been are sick, have been sick, or are showing symptoms of covid-19 before your appointment please stay home. The personal safety of our staff, clients and community is of paramount concern.
Other than that, it is business as usual. Feel free to contact us at any time for more information. Stay safe, and we hope to see you all soon.
